Happy 75th anniversary to the Arkansas Oil & Gas Commission!

On February 23, 1939, the first hearing of the AOGC was convened in El Dorado, Arkansas. During the last 75 years the mission of the AOGC has been to serve the public regarding oil and gas matters, prevent waste, encourage conservation, and protect the correlative rights of ownership associated with the production of oil, natural gas and brine, while protecting the environment during the production process through the laws of the State of Arkansas.

This photo gives a history of oil and gas regulation in Arkansas.
